Dungog’s Premier Hotel

Originally built as a residence in 1876 by the Boots Bros, Bank Hotel stands on the corner of Dowling and Hooke Street; providing locals and visitors with cold beer, delicious food, and a warm place to lay their weary head.

The Bank Hotel exudes a heritage old pub charm and is within walking distance to the town centre of Dungog. We have 19 rooms of clean, comfortable accommodation with friendly service and reasonable rates.

Relax in our back games room, the open verandah upstairs, or the public bar. Enjoy a great meal in our family dining room or outside in the beer garden. The front and back bar areas have a wood fire so our guests will be nice and cosy on those winter days. A juke box, pool table, and TAB are also available.

The Bank caters for large groups and events and is open 7 days. Come in and visit, say hi to the friendly staff and locals – we’d love to see you.

Dining

The Bank Hotel offers a traditional, country style menu at reasonable prices. The kitchen is open every day for lunch from midday to 2pm. Dinner is served from 5:30pm – 8:30pm every day. Functions and birthday dinners can be catered for and all meals can be enjoyed in the Dining Room, Verandah or Beer Garden (weather permitting). You can book a table in the Bistro by calling (02) 4992 1701. Please notify our waitress if you have special dietary requirements.

Bar

Our bar has a fine selection of icy cold beers on tap, and a fine selection of wines to enjoy either by the glass or bottle. We have racing and sports showing on large flat screen tvs in the front and back bar areas and TAB facilities if you enjoy a punt or two. We have cosy fires in winter and air conditioning in the summer – so come on down, chat with the locals and friendly staff, we’d love to see you.

Each of our room suites are clean and comfortable with shared bathroom facilities (Men’s and Ladies). Help yourself to the free tea and coffee making facilities in the upstairs kitchenette. We do provide a laundry service for our guests which can be arranged at the bar. A basic self serve continental breakfast is included with every booking. Bookings can be made online or by phoning the Hotel direct.
